Contact Charles GobinBiographical Information
Professor Gobin chairs the English Department at Asbury University, where he joined the faculty in 1996. He has also taught at the University of Alabama and Stillman College. His PhD research at the University of Florida focused on 18th-century British Literature, especially the satire of Alexander Pope and Jonathan Swift. His other research and teaching interests include the development of the Novel (particularly the works of Daniel Defoe and Henry Fielding), Contemporary Literature, and Film Studies–especially narrative and adaptation theory.
