As Vice President, Dr. Mark Troyer is responsible for leading a team of professionals who work to advance the mission of Asbury through fundraising, alumni relations and building and maintaining strategic partnerships. He has over 30 years of experience in higher education, with Executive Cabinet experience for over a decade.
Mark holds a Ph.D. in educational policy studies from the University of Kentucky, an M.A. in student personnel administration from Ball State University and a B.A. from Grace College in behavioral science and communications. Mark has written, consulted and spoken around the globe on higher education, leadership development and teambuilding. His tenure at Asbury has included work with Enrollment and Student Affairs prior to stepping into Advancement. He has frequently led retreats and conducted leadership training for nonprofit groups, colleges and international secondary schools.
He and his wife, Diane, are active members in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Lexington. They love spending time with their three adult children and their families including a Korean grandson who is the newest addition. Mark believes God has blessed him and his family in many ways and he considers it a privilege to be in a place where he has the opportunity to invest in the education and development of students.
