I received my theatre training at the University of Missouri at Kansas City under the instruction of John Ezell. During my time there I had the opportunity to interact with and work alongside some of the best theatre professionals in the industry. Their influence and teaching fostered an environment where I could not only grow in my craft, but develop into a theatre professional who values hard work, supreme effort, and constructive collaboration.
I enjoy all aspects of design and have been fortunate to have worked in theatre for the past 20 years. During that time I have been a part of over 90 productions, many of which I was a principal designer for one or more aspects of the production. I enjoy finding visual solutions in a quest to tell great stories worthy of an audience. I also enjoy teaching and mentoring my students, always working to build them up into the type of artists that I would want to collaborate with as a colleague.
