Biographical Information

Dr. Benjamin McLaughlin is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Asbury University, specializing in applied mathematics and computational science. Originally hailing from western Pennsylvania, he graduated from Asbury College in 2007 with a major in financial mathematics. He earned a M.S. (2011) and Ph.D. (2015) in computational science from Florida State University. Following graduation, he was employed as a civilian scientist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Panama City, FL. His research interests include automated data processing and inference, numerical solutions of PDEs for modeling and simulation, and hardware-accelerated numerical methods in scientific computing.
