Eagle Days is Asbury’s new student orientation and the beginning of your Asbury journey. Before classes begin, you’ll spend the day building friendships, getting to know campus, and completing important next steps so you can begin the semester feeling prepared, connected, and at home.
Why is Eagle Days Important?
Since 1928, every incoming class at Asbury has received a class identity rooted in Scripture. More than a tradition, it helps students find belonging, grow together in Christ, and become part of the Asbury family from day one.
Why is Class Identity Important?
For many students, their class identity becomes one of the first ways they connect to the larger Asbury family.
Through worship, traditions, and shared experiences, you’ll build meaningful friendships, connect with faculty and student leaders, and discover a community where you belong from day one.
Why is Welcome Weekend Important?
For families, it’s a meaningful opportunity to celebrate this milestone and confidently launch your student into the next chapter.
Family Weekend is a special opportunity for parents, siblings, grandparents, and supporters to experience campus life alongside their student.
Throughout the weekend, families can attend events, worship together, connect with faculty and staff, and enjoy traditions that make Asbury unique.
Why is Family Weekend Important?

Many families consider Family Weekend one of their favorite Asbury traditions.
The transition to college is one of life’s biggest milestones for students and families alike. At Asbury, we believe parents remain an important part of that journey. While your role may change, your encouragement, support, and prayers continue to make a lasting difference as your student grows in Christ and prepares for a lifetime of leadership and service.
Stay engaged with the Asbury community and celebrate what’s happening on campus throughout your student’s journey.
Ways to stay involved:
The college years are a season of remarkable growth and transformation. While your student’s journey will include new experiences, new responsibilities, and exciting opportunities, they do not walk alone.
At Asbury University, we are honored to partner with families as students grow academically, spiritually, and personally while discovering God’s calling on their lives. Welcome to the Asbury family.
