Through Eagle Days, Asbury University gives incoming students an early opportunity to connect with campus, build relationships and take meaningful steps toward life as an Eagle.
Each summer, Asbury University welcomes its newest class to campus through Eagle Days, a student orientation experience. Designed exclusively for first-time freshmen, Eagle Days helps students prepare for the fall semester while introducing them to the people, places and opportunities that will shape their college journey.
As students and families navigate one of life’s biggest transitions, Eagle Days provides an opportunity to build relationships, experience community and begin feeling at home in Wilmore, Ky., before the first day of classes.
At Asbury University, students are challenged to grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally. We’re preparing the next generation of Christ-centered leaders to make a difference in the world.”
Held on multiple dates throughout the summer, Eagle Days offers a full day of activities that help students transition confidently into life on campus. Incoming students review their class schedules, choose meal plans, complete important enrollment tasks and receive their official student IDs. They also explore residence halls, tour campus facilities and meet fellow members of the incoming class.
The event begins with a time of welcome and worship before students participate in sessions focused on academic preparation, campus life and student success. Parents and families also receive resources and information designed to help them support their students during this important transition.
Through dedicated family sessions, parents gain a deeper understanding of Asbury’s mission, culture and the support systems available to help their students thrive.
Throughout the day, students connect with future classmates, current student leaders, faculty and staff while learning more about the academic programs, student organizations and opportunities available at Asbury. Activities such as the Activities Fair, campus tours and residence hall visits give students a firsthand look at life as an Eagle. These early experiences help students begin experiencing what it means to belong, become who God has called them to be and prepare to be set apart for lives of service and leadership.
Eagle Days is a significant milestone because it marks the moment many students begin forming the relationships and connections that will support them throughout their Asbury journey.
Eagle Days reflects the heart of Asbury’s mission by helping students find a place where they belong, grow into who God has called them to become and prepare to be set apart for lives of service and leadership.
As students meet future classmates, engage with campus leaders and begin imagining their future at Asbury, they gain an early glimpse of the Christ-centered community that will shape their college experience.
The excitement and energy of Eagle Days can be seen throughout the event as students meet future classmates, engage with campus leaders and begin imagining their future at Asbury.
