Campus Involvement

The Asbury Christian Medical and Dental Association (Asbury CMDA) aims to continue the larger goal of our affiliate CMDA, which is to provide resources, networking opportunities, education and a public voice for Christian healthcare professionals and students. Our club will provide meetings, training, and various other opportunities to help Asbury pre-health students grow in their faith while pursuing their medical careers.

Instead of spending Saturday mornings scrolling on phones waiting for the eatery to open at 11, the Asbury community now has the option of attending AU Run Club. This club provides a space where students can kick off their weekend in the best way possible: fellowship, fitness, and food. Students don’t need to be “serious runners” to join; whether someone sprints, jogs, or walks, everyone is welcome. The emphasis is the Christ centered community that built up before, during, and after the run.

Between the Lines is a book club for students to explore different types of literature outside of a classroom setting. Conversations sparked by literature are crucial in our growth not just as readers, but as people. The club strives to create an atmosphere that allows members to be introduced to new ideas while facilitating meaningful conversations and relationships. Classroom discussions can sometimes feel restrictive to students because of academic pressure; in Between the Lines, it should feel the opposite. Respect towards each other and ourselves is a priority, regardless of our backgrounds or opinions on the subjects discussed.

The Bi-Partisan Discourse Club seeks to provide students with a safe environment to discuss political ideas and provide information regarding civic engagement. This club provides opportunities to discuss ideas in a way that encourages discourse across party lines through engaging speakers, thoughtful dialogue, spreading voting information, and other events.

This Board Game Club brings people together to sit, play, laugh, and share an experience. With a wide variety of options, these tabletop games can be as familiar and simple as “Apples to Apples” and “Uno”, or as bold and strategic as “King of Tokyo” and “Forbidden Island”. There’s always something for everyone to enjoy, as our club aims to help foster a sense of community when your social battery is low. So, draw your cards and make your move—we hope you can drop in and socialize at a comfortable pace.

The Dayton School of Business club works in tandem with the Dayton School of Business to bolster the already rigorous learning curriculum and to provide a community for students across all majors including those outside of the Dayton School of Business. Most business schools desire to be the best in the world. Our goal is to be the best for the world. A simple change of the word “in” to “for” expresses our radical view to apply effective business management principles from a Christian world view standpoint. The club emphasizes the biblical principle of stewardship and Christian standards of ethics, alongside the Business school, as an integral part of the acquisition of technical knowledge and of the pursuit of excellence in professional skills.

Drill Team consists of a group of horses and riders that perform choreographed routines to music. It showcases teamwork, precision, and the connection between horse and rider. We strive to make every practice engaging, stress free, and fun! Anyone is welcome to join, even if you do not have a horse! If you have a camera, can mash together music, or have marketing knowledge, we would love to have you join.

The Entrepreneurship Club will provide students with a place to explore innovation, leadership, and business ideas from a Christian perspective, which is not directly offered at Asbury. It will help students who cannot take business classes because of their major (arts, equine, etc.) but that want to start their own business to learn and grow those ideas. It fills the gap between learning and real-world applications by helping students turn ideas into real things and the steps they can take to do so through mentorship and workshops.

The Eyrie Investment Club is a student-run investment club dedicated to cultivating financial awareness and investment skills among aspiring finance enthusiasts from all majors. Our club offers a dynamic learning environment through weekly meetings that focus on deepening members’ understanding of domestic and global markets. By participating in the Eyrie Investment Fund, students gain hands-on experience with real capital, enabling them to track market movements and witness the long-term impact of their investment decisions. Additionally, non-members are welcome to attend our monthly meetings, where we invite professionals from the finance industry to share their insights. This unique opportunity empowers students to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, preparing them for future success in the world of finance or in making informed personal investment decisions.

The Faith and Science club is a platform open to any and all students interested in exploring the nexus of religion and modern science. Creating space to wrestle with the challenging topics in today’s modern bioethical sphere and learn what the Bible has to say about challenging topics at the forefront of modern scientific conversation.

The Liturgical Christian Fellowship is a place for Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholics, and those with appreciation for liturgical worship to gather and a place for those with questions to ask them.
The meetings will consist of studies and discussions of liturgically relevant texts and films, game nights, meals with clergy of various liturgical churches in the area, and other events to promote fellowship. The all-campus event will be a discussion panel with local clergy for the student body to come and ask questions.

Asbury Screaming Eagles Club is dedicated to fostering school spirit and encouraging student participation in campus sports events. Our mission is to unite students through a shared passion for sports, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere at all athletic events.

The Sigma Zeta Math and Science Honor Society chapter at Asbury University is a part of an academic excellence and recognizing intellectual achievements. At Asbury, Sigma Zeta is dedicated to cultivating mentorship, fellowship, and community among science and math majors. Our ultimate goal is to promote a passion for the natural sciences both at Asbury and beyond!

The Asbury University Vaulting Club’s mission is to use the equestrian sport of vaulting to promote the University and Equine Center through a unique display of fitness and artistry. Our passion for God, the horse, and for one another should always be on full display as an example of unity and sportsmanship.

The mission of VIDA is to cultivate an atmosphere of mutual support, education and awareness, and inclusivity within our campus community. We seek to do this through providing advocacy, addressing accessibility, and viewing diverse abilities as one key way that persons illustrate the image of God in His infinite complexity.
