Student jobs in Residence Life are paid positions. Below is a list of positions for which staff are selected in the late fall/early spring for the following academic year. Contact your RD or Joe Bruner, Associate Dean for Residence Life, for more information.
One position is filled in each Residence Hall. These positions are generally offered to seniors who have served as Resident Assistants. This position is considered a staff position and considerable duties are included. The ARD works closely with the Resident Director in his/her particular residence hall in the administration of the hall. Contact your RD for more information concerning the hiring timeline.
Approximately forty positions are filled by male and female students who are mainly juniors and seniors. Hiring and training begin early in the spring, prior to the position starting in the fall. The purpose of the RA is to provide service to the individual student, the floor/unit/apartments, and Asbury University by helping to create and maintain a pleasant living environment, being a source of help and referral, and cooperating in developing activities and programs, and enhancing the educational value of the residence hall.
