Starting at Asbury in August?

▾ Look at your Asbury Checklist often!

Your online Asbury Checklist updates in real time to tell you what we still need you to do, so keep an eye on it! Go to asbury.edu/asburychecklist and log in using your Asbury application credentials:

  • The email address and password you used to fill out Asbury's online application OR
  • The email address and password you used to set up your Asbury Checklist account after submitting your application through Common App or another outside website

▾ Check your new Asbury email address regularly!

You will start receiving information at your new Asbury email address from various offices around campus, so be sure to check it regularly. Read instructions on setting up your Asbury email address. To log in, go to asbury.edu/my and visit the "Asbury Email" link.

▾ Finalize your financial aid

If you haven't accepted your financial aid offer yet, do that now in the Asbury Portal, our online portal for class registration, financial aid and more. You can find the Asbury Portal at My Asbury (asbury.edu/my) and log in to the Portal with your Asbury email address and password. Read more instructions on the Asbury Portal.

If you have accepted your offer, don't forget to sign the promissory note and complete your entrance counseling for any loans you will receive. You can get more information from the Financial Aid Office.

▾ Submit your Housing Preference Form (on and off campus)

Submit your Housing Preference Form by May 1. For students living on campus, this allows the Housing Office to use your residence hall and roommate preferences as they make housing assignments for the new school year, and for students planning to live off campus, this submits your petition to live off campus.

Deposited after May 1? Submit the Housing Preference Form ASAP so the Housing Office can work with you to provide the best housing option.

Where to find it: Access the Housing Preference Form through the Asbury Checklist at asbury.edu/asburychecklist. Log in with the (non-Asbury) email address and password you used to create your Asbury application/Checklist account. If you applied through Common App and haven't created an Asbury Checklist account, create one and follow the instructions that will be emailed to you.

▾ Submit your College Credit

Do you have college credit through dual credit classes, AP, CLEP, IB, etc.? If so, please let us know by May 20 (or as soon as possible afterwards)! You can submit your dual credit through Transferology. We'll also need final & official transcripts from all universities where you have received college credit.

Where to find it: View the instructions for submitting credit through Transferology here.

▾ Provide your Health Services information

Beginning in the middle of May, provide your medical information to the health services clinic in the Center for Wholeness and Wellness. Submit the Health History Form online - including copies of your health insurance card and immunization record - to prepare the clinic for your arrival on campus. Please note that you may need to schedule an appointment with your doctor to get the most updated information.

Where to find it: Access your Health History Form and upload documentation through your Asbury Checklist at asbury.edu/asburychecklist. Log in with the (non-Asbury) email address and password you used to create your Asbury application/Checklist account. If you applied through Common App and haven't created an Asbury Checklist account, create one and follow the instructions that will be emailed to you.

▾ Sign up for the Archways Pre-Orientation Program

Sign up for Archways, an optional - but highly recommended - five day experience prior to Welcome Weekend, designed by our Center for Adventure Leadership staff to prepare you for life at Asbury while creating new bonds of friendship before you officially move on campus. No prior hiking, camping or rock climbing experience is necessary.

Where to find it: Learn more and access registration here.

▾ Review your fall class schedule

The Registrar's office will begin creating fall schedules for the new incoming class in the beginning of June, using your official transcripts, official test score reports and Prior Credit Form to create the best possible class schedule for you. Once the schedule has been posted, you will be notified by email and will be able to log in, view your schedule and make any necessary changes. Please be aware that the notification may be sent to your new Asbury email address.

Where to find it: Your class schedule will be posted in the Asbury Student Portal, our online portal for class registration, financial aid and more. You can find the Asbury Portal and your Asbury email account at My Asbury (asbury.edu/my) and log in to the Portal with your Asbury email address and password. Get help accessing your Asbury email address and get help with the Portal.

▾ Send us your final official transcripts

Final copies of your official transcripts are required once all of the grades have been posted for your most recent semester of school. Final official transcripts from high school must include the graduation date, including month, day and year.

Official transcripts from a high school can be sent by mail from the school or ordered through Parchment. Official transcripts from a college/university can be sent by mail from the institution or electronically through getmytranscripts.org. Homeschool transcripts can be emailed from the parent email address if they have been signed.

Final official transcripts must be sent directly from the school to Asbury's Admissions Office. Transcripts that are given to the student and then delivered to Asbury will not be counted as official. Review the items on your Asbury Checklist after May 15 to see if we still need a final official transcript for your record.

▾ Select your meal plan, payment plan, and more!

A series of actions that we call New Semester Check-In is required of every Asbury student for each semester in which they are enrolled. New Semester Check-In includes signing up for your meal plan, selecting a payment plan and registering your car to receive a parking permit. New Semester Check-In is available during Eagle Days or around the middle of June if you do not attend Eagle Days.

Where to find it: To complete New Semester Check-In, log in to the Asbury Portal with your Asbury email address and password. You can find the Portal and your email account at My Asbury (asbury.edu/my).

▾ Review your housing and roommate assignment

Your residence hall and roommate for your first year at Asbury are assigned by the Housing Office based on your submitted Housing Preference Form. Once assignments are complete--usually in early July--the information will be posted to your Asbury Portal account and you will be notified by email. Please be aware that the notification may go to your new Asbury email address.

Where to find it: To view your housing and roommate assignment, log in to the Asbury Portal, found at My Asbury. Use your Asbury email address and password to log in.
