Dr. Michele (Mallett) Wells
Dr. Michele Wells is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She has been a part of the Asbury University community since summer 2009. Dr. Wells completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Indiana State University, her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her PhD in Organizational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Dr. Wells dissertation research was "The Relationship of Professional Values and Spirituality with Motivation to Lead: The Mediating Effect of Social Justice Importance." Dr. Wells is the Program Director for the Master of Social Work program at Asbury University. Prior to coming to Asbury University she served as the Social Work Department Coordinator for the Social Work program at Taylor University Fort Wayne where she taught for six years. She maintains her license as a clinical social worker in the state of Indiana. Dr. Wells has more than 20 years experience in the profession of Social Work. Her clinical experience is in the area of counseling mental health issues with children and families; with particular skill in the area of addictions. Teaching responsibilities include the areas of generalist practice, diversity, policy, and advanced clinical practice. Dr. Wells is the faculty advisor for the Phi Chi chapter of the Phi Alpha National Honor Society at Asbury University. Dr.Wells is also a member of the Kentucky Society of Clinical Social Work.
