Get Connected at Asbury

Student Clubs & Organizations

If you’re looking for ways to connect with others on campus, fuel your creativity or hobbies outside the classroom, and make some Asbury memories, signing up for student clubs and organizations is a no-brainer. The flexibility of clubs and organizations allows you to prioritize your time while personalizing your schedule with a community, activity, or time slot that works for your college experience—and they’re also fun!

Asbury’s clubs and organizations are all vastly unique. If you’re an introvert, you can take comfort in a community designed to offer spaces where you can connect at your own pace. If you’re an extrovert, your energy will be matched by opportunities to socialize, compete, and collaborate!

Here is a sampling of just some of Asbury’s clubs and organizations:

At the Asbury Ballroom, we’re all about bringing students together through the joy of dance! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, everyone’s welcome to join us for our weekly meetups. We’ll teach you cool moves from Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, and more. And don’t miss our campus-wide dance each semester—it’s the perfect chance to dress up, let loose, and celebrate the art of dance with friends!

The Asbury Christian Medical and Dental Association (Asbury CMDA) aims to continue the larger goal of our affiliate CMDA, which is to provide resources, networking opportunities, education and a public voice for Christian healthcare professionals and students. Our club will provide meetings, training, and various other opportunities to help Asbury pre-health students grow in their faith while pursuing their medical careers.

Between the Lines is a club for students to explore different types of literature outside of a classroom setting. Conversations sparked by literature are crucial in our growth not just as readers, but as people. The club strives to create an atmosphere that allows members to be introduced to new ideas while facilitating meaningful conversations and relationships.

Board Game Club brings people together to sit, play, laugh, and share an experience. With a wide variety of options, these tabletop games can be as familiar and simple as “Uno”, or as bold and strategic as “King of Tokyo”. There’s always something for everyone to enjoy, as our club aims to help foster a sense of community when your social battery is low. So, draw your cards and make your move—we hope you can drop in and socialize at a comfortable pace.

The Ecotheology Club’s goal is to push people towards Christ while exploring the world He gave us. We emphasize creation care, good stewardship, and clean living as part of a Christian’s daily mission. We want to raise awareness of current issues around the world, discuss the ramifications, and find ways to work together with others to make the world a better place. All majors are welcome and wanted!

Eyrie Investment Fund is a student-run investment club dedicated to cultivating financial awareness and investment skills among aspiring finance enthusiasts from all majors. Our club offers a dynamic learning environment through weekly meetings that focus on deepening members’ understanding of domestic and global markets. By participating in the Eyrie Investment Fund, students gain hands-on experience with real capital, enabling them to track market movements and witness the long-term impact of their investment decisions. Additionally, non-members are welcome to attend our monthly meetings, where we invite professionals from the finance industry to share their insights. This unique opportunity empowers students to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, preparing them for future success in the world of finance or in making informed personal investment decisions.

Faith and Science club is a platform open to any and all students interested in exploring the nexus of religion and modern science. Creating space to wrestle with the challenging topics in today’s modern bioethical sphere and learn what the Bible has to say about challenging topics at the forefront of modern scientific conversation.

The Liturgical Christian Fellowship is a place for Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholics, and those with an appreciation for liturgical worship to gather and a place for those with questions to ask them.
We will have bimonthly meetings and one all-campus event per semester.  The meetings will consist of studies and discussions of liturgically relevant texts and films, game nights, meals with clergy of various liturgical churches in the area, and other events to promote fellowship. The all-campus event will be a discussion panel with local clergy for the student body to come and ask questions.
Part of the foremost collegiate student organization of its kind, the Asbury chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) fosters the strategic communication abilities and career development of its members. Open to all majors, PRSSA connects students to a network of peers and professionals facilitated through PRSSA national and regional conferences, exclusive online content, local PRSA chapter events such as special speakers and tours, and networking opportunities. We also sponsor campus community events, including leadership and career speakers, site visits, the annual Oscar awards watch party, and other service endeavors.

Screaming Eagles Club is dedicated to fostering school spirit and encouraging student participation in campus sports events. Our mission is to unite students through a shared passion for sports, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere at all athletic events

Self-Defense Club is committed to teaching self-defense and basic training techniques to the Asbury population at any experience level through bi-weekly meetings and other special events throughout the semester/ year. At the meetings we will talk about situational awareness and have a theme for each meeting for techniques being discussed and practiced. Special guests will also be invited to come and share their knowledge with the club.

The Sigma Zeta Math and Science Honor Society chapter at Asbury University is a part of an academic excellence and recognizing intellectual achievements.  At Asbury, Sigma Zeta is dedicated to cultivating mentorship, fellowship, and community among science and math majors. Our ultimate goal is to promote a passion for the natural sciences both at Asbury and beyond!

How to sign up for Asbury Clubs & Organizations

You can sign up for clubs at the beginning of the semester during the annual Activities Fair, typically held within the first few weeks of classes. At the fair, you have the chance to get to know Asbury’s campus-wide clubs and organizations, as well as the surrounding Wilmore community, by visiting table displays for each opportunity. Start the process of getting plugged into your perfect community by attending and writing your name on a specific club’s sign-up sheet.

Start your own club

Don’t see a club you’re interested in or have an idea for one? You can start your own campus-wide club! To propose a club or organization, reach out to your vice president of clubs and congress operations. The vice president of clubs and congress operations supports your interests and values through the creation and management of clubs, making the process of leaving your mark on campus straightforward and exciting. Reach out via email at student.life@asbury.edu.
