Communication Concentrations


This track focuses on preparing students for leadership roles in dynamic, diverse, global contexts. Asbury graduates consistently find themselves in leadership positions in a multicultural professional world. This concentration prepares them to be effective and ethical leaders.

Are you interested in a career in the exciting world of sports? Customize your Sport Communication journey in fan engagements, sport public relations, endorsements for teams, and production and media! By getting a Sport Communication concentration at Asbury, you could get hands-on experience in the field, interning and working at places like NASCAR, the PGA Tour, the Cincinnati Reds, NFL Films, Cincinnati Bengals, and Tennessee Titans and more.

This concentration encompasses public relations, corporate communication, advertising, and social media, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of integrated strategies to shape and communicate stories professionally across various contexts.

Life-Changing Experiences

The communication major has a student-run public relations agency, and almost every student in the major is required to put in hours there. And internship is required for all communication majors. Students have done communication/leadership internships for:

There is no better place to imagine, create and collaborate. Our 52,000 square foot Miller Communication Arts Center immerses students in an atmosphere of creativity.

The highly acclaimed Miller Communication Arts Building includes a 6,400 square foot film sound stage, television production facility and many other spaces for students to get professional experience.
