We are excited to have you and your student as a part of the Asbury community! We know the transition to college is a significant one for the whole family, and we want to help make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether your son or daughter just graduated high school or is transferring from another institution, we look forward to having them begin a new chapter at Asbury University.
We have created a Parent Orientation for parents of first-time students and transfers with less than 30 credit hours which includes important programming and information for you. Once you arrive on campus and register your student for Welcome Week, you will have time to help them move in and get settled in their residence hall. That evening we kick off the week's programming with the President's Convocation and a Faculty Reception for you to meet some of your student's professors.
The following day was crafted with you in mind--we want to provide an opportunity for you to meet staff from a wide variety of offices ranging from Finanical Aid and the Registrar's Office to Student Development and Business Affairs. Check out the schedule here.
Does your student have middle-school or high-school age siblings? Register siblings for College Connection, a free program for middle-school and high-school age siblings offered during designated sessions of Parent Orientation. College Connection is available Tuesday, Aug. 11th from 8:15-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 12th from 9:15-11:45 a.m. and 1:00-4:30 p.m. To register, contact Mallary Wiley at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, August 7th.
We look forward to having you here and are privileged to be a part of your son or daughter's life. God bless!
