Experience Asbury through college-type, residential academic camps for high school students. 

Join us in the summer for one (or two) of 10 residential high school camps that focus on a variety of content areas. Experienced faculty and talented college students will be staffing the camps where you will get a five-day, college-type experience that includes all food, lodging, supplies, evening activities and hands-on exploration of an academic area in the context of a Christian community.

Dates for Summer 2018 Camps: June 4-8 and June 11-15.

Cost will be just $390 for a full, residential week!

2018 Camps

Creative Writing

Join Asbury faculty for a five-day creative writing intensive! Here, you will increase your ability to find inspiration, create a first draft and revise, whether you choose to focus on fiction, creative non-fiction or poetry.

Equine

Hit the open trails this summer! Join the team from Asbury’s renowned Equine Program for five days of hands-on learning. You’ll not only ride on Asbury’s riverside trails, but also learn the dynamics of horsemanship and equine service & ministry.

Film I

Join industry professionals for this five-day intensive utilizing Asbury’s cutting-edge Media Communications facilities. Film I provides an introduction to the art and skill of filmmaking.

Film II

Join industry professionals for this five-day intensive utilizing Asbury’s cutting-edge Media Communications facilities. Film II is an advanced camp that builds on the basics, so previous experience in film is helpful.

Brass Music

Brass Camp at ImpactU is a unique opportunity to study with some of the world’s greatest brass musicians. This camp is designed for excellent young brass performers who are looking into majoring in music, or preparing for all-state auditions. Each student will get a chance to participate in masterclasses, private lessons, and a brass choir.

Theatre & Film Acting

Learn how to act for camera and stage. Our focus will be on the fundamentals of good acting: Playing an objective, sense memory, character development, text work, movement, substitutions, and scene work. Our other focus will be on having fun and developing good community.

Forensic Science

Join Asbury professionals for five days of hands-on learning, exploring the tasks involved in crime scene investigation. We will reconstruct an accident -
from scene, to analysis of evidence, to court case reporting.

Adventure Leadership

Adventures abound when you join the staff of Asbury’s Center for Adventure Leadership for this summer's Adventure Camp! You’ll discover new leadership skills as we explore the best outdoor experiences Kentucky has to offer!

Special Two-Week Camp

Youth Becoming Leaders

Students apply and are accepted into this special camp that equips high school students for theologically-guided living and decision making as they grow in becoming leaders in their own sphere of influence and society. This two-week, grant-funded camp costs $250.
