Men’s basketball team Costa Rica mission trip
While many Asburians were graduating, saying goodbye, and preparing for new adventures, one group of young men readied themselves for a new experience of their own. Six members of the Asbury College men’s basketball team, along with Head Coach Will Shouse, participated in a short-term mission trip to Costa Rica May 9-16.
Young alum wins broadcasting award
On June 6, 2009, the Georgia Association of Broadcasters presented their annual Gabby Awards. Asbury College alumnus Joel Aaron Foster ’04 won the award for “Best On-Air Personality.”
Tune in to Ichthus Radio with Elysia
Elysia Hille, a senior media communication major and Indiana native, discovered that she had an immense love for radio years before she set foot on Asbury College’s campus. She grew up listening to the radio, but mostly Elysia was intrigued by the communication possibilities, which led her to Asbury College and her current endeavor with Ichthus Ministries.

Chorale returns from England
On May 21, the Asbury College Chorale packed their bags and flew to England where they were invited to be the resident choir at Gloucester Cathedral. The Chorale sang during the Anglican Evensong services every night, and performed two concerts at Bath Abbey and Christ Church in Oxford. Read More »
Rookie: Asbury band to debut at Ichthus
Anyone interested in the musical enterprises of Asbury College students and alumni should check out “Rookie,” the next up and coming band at Ichthus.
