Coulliette and Rietz Math Modeling Endowed Scholarship

“Math modeling at Asbury was one of my favorite parts of being a math major. The long weekends working through the competition forged lifelong friendships and helped develop appreciation and insight into how math modeling solves real-world problems. The intent of this scholarship is to challenge current Asbury mathematicians to invest in their modeling skills and excel at solving novel problems in a team environment. Our hope is their achievements within the modeling competition will directly lead to future academic and professional success.” – Corey Winton, Ph.D. ‘04

In June of 2022, Dr. Corey Winton established the Coulliette and Rietz Math Modeling Endowed Scholarship at Asbury University to celebrate students for their meritorious achievements in Math Modeling. Named in honor of longtime math professors, Dr. David Coulliette ’81 and Dr. Ken Rietz, the scholarship will be awarded each year to individual students based on their team achievements in Math Modeling competitions or other criteria as determined by the Mathematics faculty.

Additional gifts to this scholarship are welcome from any interested parties by making a gift or pledge below.
