Transition and Guidance (TAG) Program

TAG Leader

TAG Leaders are selected their freshmen year spring semester to serve their sophomore year during Fall Welcome Weekend and the fall semester. These forty-four students do spring trainings, self-awareness seminars, meet weekly as a TAG partnership, and attend an extensive, week-long fall training to grow their leadership capacity, build community as a TAG team, and prepare for the incoming freshmen class. TAG Leaders desire to invest in others, both their own class and the freshmen, and provide monthly programming and weekly get-togethers over dinner or lunch with a select group of freshmen. As a result of undergoing these trainings and programs, TAG leaders are better equipped to lead confidently, serve wholeheartedly, and work with a variety of groups of people cooperatively. They also have a lot of fun in the process!

TAG Coordinator

Two TAG Coordinators are selected from the previous TAG Leader group to mentor, train, guide, teach, and lead the TAG Leaders. Selected their sophomore year spring semester, these two individuals work closely with the Director of Student Engagement in hiring and training the new TAG Leader group. During Fall Semester they help coordinate events during Welcome Weekend and throughout the following semester guide the TAG Leaders in their event planning and program requirements. These two students receive a 9% scholarship.
