Welcome Weekend 2021

Asbury University’s Welcome Weekend gives new students a supportive, encouraging and informative transition to their Asbury experience. Each day is crafted intentionally with programs that empower students to take their first steps into the social, spiritual, and intellectual community here. Currently, Asbury’s fall Welcome Weekend is scheduled for Thursday, August 12 through Sunday, August 15, with one move-in date and schedule. We are excited to welcome you to campus!

Thursday, August 12

8a.m. – Noon Student Check-In and Moving In
11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Dining Hall Open for Lunch
1 – 4 p.m. Interactive Support from Business Offices Available, Continued Move-In
3:30 p.m. President’s Welcome
4:30 p.m. Faculty Reception
5 – 6:30 p.m. Complementary Dinner Available in Johnson Cafeteria
7 p.m. TAG Group Activity
8:45 p.m. Residence Hall Meeting

Friday, August 13

8 – 9 a.m. Breakfast
9 a.m. Language Placement Exam
10:45 a.m. Liberal Arts Session with Faculty
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch
12:45 p.m. Academic Orientation
1:30 p.m. Academic Advising
3:15 p.m. Campus Resource Tour
5 – 6 p.m. Dinner
Music Department Pizza Night for Music majors

General Information

Please look over the information below to further help prepare you for your introduction to Asbury:

  1. Visit the Deposited Students website and complete the checklist.
  2. Visit the Move to Asbury for your Housing Preference Form and more information on moving to Asbury.
  3. Prior to Welcome Weekend students have the option to attending Archways, a pre-orientation outdoor adventure leadership program.
  4. If you are a new student and participating in a fall sport, your coach may request that you come prior to Welcome Weekend. Contact your coach for move-in details and dates.
