High School Rock Climbing Camp

June 25-27, 2019 - Asbury University Center for Adventure Leadership is proud to introduce a Rock Climbing Camp this summer. In this camp the camper will experience both rock climbing outside as well as rustic car camping for their 3 day-2 night stay.

Middle School Climbing Gym Day Camp

July 16-18, 2019 - Asbury University Center for Adventure Leadership will be hosting a day camp focused on learning rock climbing basics. This is an indoor climbing camp designated to teaching beginner rock climbers.

High School Canoe Camp

July 29-31, 2019 - Asbury University Center for Adventure Leadership is directing a multi-day paddle trip on the Green River in Mammoth Cave National Park. On this 3 day-2 night paddling camp campers will learn camp craft, paddling skills, canoe rescue skills, canoe multi-day trip skills, navigation skills, risk awareness and decision-making skills.

The Adventure Leadership Camp will be run by our Center for Adventure Leadership which operates both academic and co-curricular programs for Asbury and the larger community of Central Kentucky.

All programs are operated by staff who maintain the highest in wilderness medical certification and training. Our full time staff have over 15 years of experience running field programs in outdoor recreation and the department has taught leadership through adventure based programs for over 20 years.

Our program is affiliated with multiple national accrediting bodies including the Association for Challenge Course Technology, the American Mountain Guides Association, and the Association for Experiential Education.
