Hit the open trails this summer! Join the team from Asbury’s renowned Department of Equine Studies for five days of hands-on learning. You’ll not only ride on Asbury’s riverside trails, but also learn the dynamics of horsemanship and equine service & ministry.

What You Can Expect

• Learn about horse care and ministry
• Hands on horsemanship and riding
• Learn principles of stable management

Packing List

• Boots or closed toed shoes (preferably with a small heel for proper fit in stirrups)
• Long pants
• Riding helmet is provided but they are welcome to bring their own
• Short sleeve t-shirts (no tank tops)
• Sunscreen and bug spray
• Classroom and graduation attire
• Sports clothes and swimsuit
• Closed-toed shoes for some of our activities
• Hat
• Water bottle
• Toiletries
• Towels, washcloths, bedding (twin bed XL), and pillow
• ENO type Hammock (optional)
• Rain Jacket
• For Graduation: wear semi-formal clothes (i.e. khakis, ties, blazers, dresses)
