Adventure Education & Leadership

Packing List

During the ImpactU Adventure camp, the camper may encounter many different types of activities. These activities may include, but are not limited to, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, camping, caving, and rock climbing. To make sure the camper comes ready for any adventure, we put together a list of items to bring to the camp. These are geared specifically to the activities we may experience during the week, but keep in mind that the campers will also have some downtime on campus, so they will also need to pack clothes, shoes, etc for those specific times.

  • Water Bottle
  • Toiletries
  • Shoes
    • Shoes for Hiking
    • Shoes (preferably not flip flops) for water activities
    • Caving shoes (tennis shoes you do not mind getting dirty)
  • Clothes
    • Hiking/Camping
    • Canoeing
    • Caving Clothes – Clothes you do not mind getting torn up and dirty/perhaps thrown away at the end of the day. Goodwill is always a good place to find these things if you do not previously own a pair.
  • Sunscreen – Program will supply some, but always a good option to bring your own
  • Sunglasses – optional
  • Rain Jacket
  • Headlamp/Flashlight
  • If you have any gear for backpacking- specifically hammock, backpack, sleeping bag, etc that you would like to bring, feel free. Program has gear that is provided if camper does not. This is only for camper preference, campers DO NOT need any of these gear items to come to camp.
  • Classroom and graduation attire
  • Sports clothes and swimsuit
  • Closed-toed shoes for some of our activities
  • Hat and sunscreen
  • Towels, washcloths, bedding (twin bed XL), and pillow
  • Bug spray
  • For Graduation: wear semi-formal clothes (i.e. khakis, ties, blazers, dresses)
