What is my favorite place on campus? The Student Center. The Student Center is located in the heart of campus, and it is where you can see the vibrant community of students, faculty and staff coming together in building relationships, and continuing to learn and grow outside the classroom. Walking through the Student Center, you may see a professor having coffee with a student, a group of friends studying together, a game of ping pong taking place as a nice break in the day, and smell the aroma of coffee coming from our Hiccup Cafe, run by Student workers. It is also a place where campus events take place and where memories are made.
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would I choose? Breaking out into musical numbers! I love everything to do with music, dance, and singing! Of course, it’s always best with people joining in with me 🙂
What’s the most important thing to consider when choosing a college? When choosing a college, it is easy to look for the cheapest or quickest options. However, those four years of college are full of transformation. Finding the best educational program and good financial aid is important, but you also want to leave college feeling like you have grown to understand who you are and what important role you play. Asbury is all about holistic learning and growth. Asbury is a place that can prepare a student to not only do well in a career, but also in building relationships with others, so that they are making a difference in the lives of everyone around them. You want to find a place that not only prepares you academically, but also spiritually, emotionally, and socially. An education is only one factor in starting a career; the ability to critically think, work alongside of others, and handle different situations are vital to becoming successful and becoming the best version of what God has designed you to be. It is important to find an institution that models each of these factors well, and has a mission to train, equip, and empower each of their students in and outside of the classroom.
