Dr. Don Simmons - Faculty Advisor
When he was a young boy, his imagination was stirred by listening to late night radio rock jocks. His mother thought he was asleep! With his ear close to his hand-held transistor radio, he could hear the sounds of Top 40 radio personalities including Wolfman Jack,Larry Lujack, Cayote Calhoun, and others. He dreamed of being just like them. Well, his start in radio wasn’t in Top 40, but he was enthused about being on-air. he loves radio, and is excited about WACW!
Ben Garverick - Station Magement Administrator
Ben Garverick is the Station Manager for the radio station this semester and Program Director. He has worked with the radio station for two and a half years now. Starting out as a volunteer and working his way up. When Ben graduates from Asbury, he wants to go into anything produced live. There no greater feeling when you’re running a live event. He is a Spanish and a Media Communication major with an emphasis in audio production.
Alyssa Driscoll - Music Director
Alyssa Driscoll is the music director for the radio station.
Ian Serrer - Sales Director
Ian Serrer is the Sales Director for WACW. My major is Communications with an emphasis in PR, and a minor in Business. Ian loves playing baseball, video games and watching netflix with his wife. Ian is very blessed to be apart of this staff and hopes he can do his best to make WACW the best it can possibly be.
Jake Halm - Web Master
Jake Halm is the Web Master for WACW. He is a junior who is majoring in Media Communications with an emphasis in production and audio production. He enjoys producing music, paintballing, and making videos.
Gabe Willison - Sports Director/Productions
Gabe Willison is the News Director for Asbury's WACW. He is a junior in the Media Communication program with an emphasis in performance. In addition to being on air, he likes drumming, obsessing over the band Fun., playing video games, and perusing the internet in his spare time.
Paula Diaz - News Director
Paula Diaz is a native of Colombia who currently lives in Florida. She is a junior majoring in Journalism and Digital Storytelling and double minoring in Public Relations and Spanish. As News Director for WACW she hopes to keep the university up to date on local, national, and international news with her weekly news updates and radio show, Paula-tics.
Lucas Green - Remotes Director
Lucas Green is the Remotes Director for WACW. Lucas was born and raised in Shelby, Ohio. He came to Asbury to study Film in hopes of becoming a Director and a Writer. He now has a radio show called 5 Guys and a Movie were he discusses movies once a week.
