Explore the “city of dreaming spires” through a summer, fall, or spring term with the Scholarship and Christianity in Oxford (SCIO) Program. As a student in Oxford, you’ll discover what so many people across the world have found to be the most academically exhilarating experience of their life. Live in the heart of Oxford, meet local professors in a wide range of fields, and study coursework that will challenge your mind and heart.
Take a variety of courses in the history, geography, culture, and religions. Walk through the City of David, take a boat across the Sea of Galilee, hike the land of the Edomites, or climb to the top of an extinct volcano to catch a view into Syria.
When you participate in the Semester in Spain, you’ll discover cathedrals and other historical landmarks that are centuries old, eat tapas and take mid-afternoon siestas, and be amazed by weeklong Semana Santa celebrations. You’ll build meaningful relationships with your Spanish host family members and your local professors. You can enjoy tours of art museums and bullrings, and travel to other Spanish cities, all while taking classes in language, culture, literature, and dance.
Immerse yourself in Japanese culture by living with, talking to, and taking classes with students at Tokyo Christian University. You will make five to seven field trips under the guidance of the professors to many destinations around Japan.
