Faculty Advisor 

Dr. Doug Walker

Dr. Walker is the Associate Dean of the School of Communication Arts here at Asbury. He is also a professor of Media Communication and Journalism. He has an M.A. from Wheaton College and a Ph.D. from Indiana University. He has received multiple awards for different radio pieces and video production pieces including the Communicator Award (2011) and two Telly Awards (2013 and 2014). He has also published several papers and appears in the Nieman Reports published by the Neiman Foundation at Harvard University. His broadcasting experience has taken him to places such as Haiti and Alaska. He has worked as a sports and news announcer, news director, program director, and consultant for multiple radio stations. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys playing tennis and taking walks with his wife, Marilyn.


Student Staff

Station Manager

Allie Sutton

Allie is a junior and serving as the Station Manager for Air 90 this school year. Her major is Media Communications with a Journalism minor. Allie hopes to become a television news anchor or talk show host one day. In her free time, she loves to sing, draw, play tennis, and spend time with her family.


Program/Music Director

Mau Vazquez

Mau is an international student who is majoring in Media communication with an emphasis in Film production. Mau is a Junior and hopes to travel the world someday and film a documentary series about it. Mau loves cooking, listening to music, watching movies and hammocking.


Assistant Music Director

Noah Clark

Noah Clark is a Media Communications major with an emphasis in media performance. He is a sophomore at Asbury University. Noah’s main jobs on campus include being the “voice of the Eagles” for the Asbury Athletic Department, working as the P.A. Announcer for all sports games on campus, and assisting in the I.T. Services department. For the AIR90 radio station, he is the Assistant Music Director.


News/Sports Director

Teni Onitiri

Teni was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Media Communications major and a junior. He also plays soccer for Asbury. At AIR90, Teni will be serving as the News Director. Which fits him well because he enjoys working with people and meeting new ones.


Webmaster / Social Media Director

Julia Coward

Julia is a junior Communication major. Julia loves to spend her free time reading, writing, and spending time with family. Passionate about music and all things creative, she manages the social media and web pages for AIR90.


Remotes Director

Juan Vidal

Juan Vidal is a senior, part of the Appointed class. He is majoring in Political Science. In his free time, he enjoys doing parkour and playing soccer. As Remotes Director, he gets to DJ and through this, he is able to help people have a great time and enjoy the music at different Asbury events.


Promotions Director

Carrie Byrd

Carrie is a Senior. She is majoring in Media Communication with an Emphasis in TV and Video Production. In her free time, she likes to listen to music and watch sports of any kind. As Production Director, Carrie wants to ensure students are informed about events taking place around campus to promote student involvement.


Sales Director

Abby Beers

Abby is a sophomore at Asbury University Majoring in Media Communications with Tv and Video production emphasis and minoring in marketing. Her position at Air90 acts as sales director, developing sponsors for the radio station and creating customer relations in our location. She is currently on the Asbury Swim team and throughout high school partook in DECA marketing club and many other extracurriculars.
