Visit Event FAQs

▾ How much does it cost?

Visit events are free to attend! In addition, we will cover the cost of group meals for visiting student and family members.

▾ Who can attend?

All high school students are encouraged to attend our visit events. College students interested in transferring to Asbury are also invited. Scholarship Competition is by invitation only.

▾ What are my housing options?

Visit events during the fall semester restrict overnight stays to senior and transfer students only. Visit events during the spring semester restrict overnight stays to juniors, seniors, and transfer students. Regardless of year in school, you must be at least 16 years to stay overnight in the residence halls. Students who are juniors but not 16 years old will not be allowed to stay on-campus overnight. Additionally, students older than 24 years will not be allowed to stay overnight. Parents and other visitors are encouraged to stay at a local hotel or bed & breakfast, some of which offer a special rate for Asbury visitors.

▾ What should I bring?

If you are staying overnight in a residence hall, bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel and any necessary toiletries. If you are attending our Equine Event, bring appropriate farm footwear. If you are attending a Music Department Event or the Salvation Army Visit Weekend, bring your musical instrument.

▾ What if I want a music, theatre or worship arts audition or athletics tryout?

To schedule a music audition, please contact the appropriate music faculty listed below. Audition guidelines can be found on the Music Department’s webpage.

If you are interested in intercollegiate athletics, please visit our Asbury Athletics webpage and complete the recruiting form for your sport.

To request a Worship Arts Audition, please complete the audition registration form.

▾ What events are there for parents?

Parents are invited to attend all parts of the event including the Campus Tour, Classes, Chapel and Meals, but are not required to attend. Most events also include a Financial Aid Seminar specifically for parents.
