The 39 Steps is a marvelous, fast-paced comedy full of theatrical delight. The 1935 Hitchcock spy movie gets a hilarious retelling in this award-winning adaptation. Richard Hannay gets plunged into a world of 1935 espionage as he tries to save England and clear his name. Train chases, romance, and ‘whodunnit’ surprises abound in this fun, entertaining show.

The Asbury Theatre Program uses a broad spectrum of skills to prepare well-rounded, service driven artists. Our curriculum combines areas of study with hands-on training in performance, design and production. The Theatre Program interacts closely with the film & television programs allowing students to move between acting or designing for stage to adapting those skills for acting or designing for film. Your work at Asbury will combine practical knowledge, academic depth and a natural integration of faith into your craft. Students are encouraged to grow as artists and individuals within an encouraging community. Discover your personal theatre journey and prepare for a future career. The Theatre major is a 50-hour major plus general education and electives. A Theatre minor is a 23-hour minor.
