- The Henry Clay Internship in Public Policy offers three students at Kentucky’s colleges and universities the opportunity to serve a member of Kentucky’s congressional delegation. Students must be residents of Kentucky. The internship includes a stipend.
Civil Society & Academia
- The Fund for American Studies has summer DC internships in journalism, international affairs, public policy and government affairs. You must pay for these, though some scholarships are available.
- The Center for Strategic & International Studies offers paid internships for those who are at least college juniors. Must be eligible to work in the US (but citizenship not required). The Korea Chair at CSIS also has an internship program.
- The Institute for the Study of War has internships.
- The Korean Economic Institute of America has internships for Korean graduate students.
- The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism has a variety of unpaid internships (at the University of Maryland).
- Internship opportunities for intelligence analysis are available for students with advanced listening and reading comprehension in the languages of Arabic (Yemeni dialect), Dari, Farsi, Indonesian, Pashtu, Somali, Turkish or Urdu are available at the National Council of US-Arab Relations’ Critical Languages Research Analyst Program in DC.
