In addition to courses in your emphasis area, you’ll take classes in both the theory and application of outdoor leadership.


Adventure education majors receive certifications in Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace Instructor, ACA Canoe Instructor, and Challenge Course Facilitation.


Course subjects include group communication and leadership, experiential education, outdoor education, and stewardship.
