Leverage state-of-the-art technology to become a master storyteller across a wide variety of platforms.

As a Media Communication student at Asbury University, you’ll learn the art of storytelling and communicating ideas. You’ll gain experience in many aspects of media—from audio production to interactive media and film/TV production—while also focusing your studies on a specific area through the six emphases available in the major. As you learn, you’ll have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art equipment and explore the practical hands-on application of what you learn in the classroom.

As a Journalism major or minor at Asbury University, you’ll be prepared to write and create for any media format, from print to online to broadcast. You’ll learn how the power of writing, photo imaging and graphics can bring meaning in an ever-changing marketplace of ideas, and you’ll gain experience with writing, editing, photojournalism, television production, shooting documentaries and more. Students with a Journalism major or minor gain not only professional journalistic skills but an understanding of how Christian values can be applied to competent leadership over print and online media ranging from newspapers and magazines to public relations and advertising materials.
