Master of Fine Arts
Asbury University launched two new Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degrees in the Fall of 2017. The two new MFAs are in Screenwriting and Film & Television Production. Both of these terminal degrees will require 42 credit hours of study. However, if the student does not have an undergraduate degree in media or professional media experience, an additional 1-3 prerequisite classes may be required. 39 hours of the 42 total required credit hours may be taken online or may be taken on Asbury’s campus to take advantage of their equipment and production facilities. All MFA students will be required to spend two weeks in Los Angeles in a film and television overview workshop where they will be exposed to many of the facets of the film and television industry.
