Asbury Essentials: Where to Go When You Need Help

From class schedules and tuition questions to tutoring, health services and career preparation, these campus resources can help students navigate life at Asbury.

New to Asbury? Keep this guide handy to know where to go, who to contact and how to find help throughout your first year.

Starting college comes with plenty of questions. Where do you go if you need help with your class schedule? Who can answer a question about your bill? Where can you find a tutor, pick up a package or talk with someone about an internship?

Asbury University offers resources across campus to help students navigate those questions and make the most of their college experience. Whether you need academic, financial, personal or professional support, you do not have to figure it out alone.

From your first week on campus to graduation, Asbury faculty and staff are here to help you find answers, connect with resources and take your next step.

Here are some Asbury essentials every new student should know:

Your Residence Hall Is a Resource, Too

For residential students, help may be even closer than an office across campus. Asbury’s Resident Directors help lead residence hall communities and can serve as an important resource as students adjust to campus life.

Current Resident Directors include:

  • Trustees Hall & Commuter Coordinator — Cy Marshall ’19
  • Kresge Hall — Savanah Husted
  • Glide-Crawford Hall — Liz Louden ’18, Director of Residence Life and Resident Director
  • Aldersgate — Emily Leininger
  • Johnson Hall — Zachary Massengale ’18, M.Div.

College brings new experiences, new responsibilities and, inevitably, new questions. Asking for help is part of learning how to navigate a new community. From academics and finances to wellness, residential life and preparation for life after college, Asbury offers people and resources ready to help students throughout their journey.
