New Director of Undergrad Admissions Announced
WILMORE, Ky. — The Administration at Asbury University has announced that Brandon Combs, a 2006 alumnus, will serve as the new Director of Admissions for the University’s undergraduate programs.
Combs brings to the position a familiarity with Asbury and the Admissions team built on years of experience as an admissions counselor, assistant director and associate director of admissions. His deep understanding of the admissions process — both from working on the team and enrolling as a student himself — includes recruitment strategies, international enrollment processes, financial-aid procedures and community outreach initiatives.
“Brandon brings great experience to the position,” said Dr. Mark Troyer, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “He has a head start in understanding Asbury's vision and value, which will assist him in leading the undergrad admissions team.”
In addition to his work in Admissions, Combs serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Jessamine County, a local non-profit organization.
“I feel very excited and privileged to be the new Director of Undergraduate Admissions for my alma mater,” Combs said. “I am very fortunate to be working with an excellent team of admissions professionals that care for the mission of this great university, each other, and the families that we serve while working hard to meet the institution's goals.”
Combs takes the place of Lisa Harper ’90, who is currently serving as Director of Alumni Relations.
