Asbury Adds New Director of Annual Giving
WILMORE, Ky. — The administration at Asbury University has announced that Chris Schill — who previously managed annual giving, major gifts and planned giving programs at the Saint Joseph-Berea (Ky.) Hospital Foundation — has been hired for the position of Director of Annual Giving. Schill is also a former Director of Annual Giving at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky.
“Asbury is blessed to have an individual like Chris join our team,” said Charlie Shepard, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “He is a skilled and experienced fund-raising professional who will make an immediate impact by bringing vision and clarity to our annual-giving program. Chris understands the difference in our student's lives that a strong annual-giving program makes, and I look forward to watching him communicate that message to our charitable partners.”
As Director of Annual Giving, Schill will be responsible for a number of Asbury’s fund-raising programs, including direct mail, online giving and Phonathon. With an increasing enrollment and new graduate programs launching in the Fall, Asbury’s annual giving programs have the potential to equip the University to make a life-changing impact on students through the partners who help make their education possible.
“I am excited to work for a university that truly embraces the Gospel and lives it through every facet of campus life,” Schill said. “I look forward to making a difference in the lives of our students in what I do each day, as we equip them to make an impact through Christ.”
Schill has a bachelor of arts in psychology from Berea College and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
