Theatre department presents
WILMORE, KY—Tickets are now available for Asbury College’s fall theatre production of Rumors, a dark comedy, directed by Jeff Day. Rumors is Neil Simon's farce about a dinner party that goes shockingly awry when the guests arrive to find the host bleeding, the hostess vanished, and the maid no where in sight. Each of the four couples adds something new to the twisted cover-up as they scramble to sort things out before the police arrive. The ensemble play stars Erin Schumaker, Rebecca Harvey, Bob Harris, Beth Coakley, Clay Hassler, Jeremy White, Kaitlin Laubham, Kendra White, Luke Baldridge and Ian Riley.
Junior Rebecca Harvey plays the role of Cassie in the production. A veteran of numerous theatre productions, Harvey says that she is excited about her role in Rumors because, "it's given me a lot of room to grow as an actress – it’s a different role than I normally play and the script is smart and challenging."
Rumors will be playing November 3-5 and 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Doddridge-Holland Theatre. General admission is $7. For ticket information, contact the theatre box office at (859) 858-3511, ext. 3207.
