WILMORE, KY—Artist Series welcomes the Pridonoff Duo Friday, March 2 in Hughes Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Patrons are invited to a reception in the Z.T. Johnson cafeteria immediately following the performance.

Pridphoto2.jpgIn 1982, Elizabeth and Eugene Pridonoff formed the Pridonoff Duo, making their debut with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Paul Nadler. In 1986, the Pridonoffs were given the title of Duo-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. The Pridonoffs have presented debuts at Alice Tully Hall in New York City and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. In addition to the United States, they have performed internationally in Europe, Mexico, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and Korea.

The ensemble’s repertoire includes works from familiar classical musicians such as Mozart, Debussy, Liszt, Poulene, Chopin and Rachmaninoff.

Elizabeth Pridonoff is an adjunct professor of piano at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory and is a Steinway artist. Eugene Pridonoff has recorded for the Vienna Modern Masters label. He was appointed an International Steinway Artist in 2004 and has been a member of the faculty of University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music since 1980.
