WILMORE, KY—Asbury College students and programs have been recognized in two recently published books.

katrinabook.jpgThe hurricane relief teams were featured in “Where is the Department of Small, Medium and Large Miracles” released by The Last Responders, Inc. The book is a collection of stories from Hurricane Katrina families and the volunteers who helped them.

Asbury College’s team is featured in chapter five titled, “One Town and One College,” for their work in Pass Christian, Miskatrinawrapup3.jpgs. The 18-page chapter contains stories, quotes and reflections from the team during their weeklong relief trip November 19-26 last year.

The Last Responders, Inc. is a not-for-profit group that was formed by teachers and students to help raise awareness and money for victims of natural disasters—primarily, Hurricane Katrina.

The proceeds from the sale of the book will go to aid hurricane victims.

The Asbury College Student Leadership program was also recognized as a resource model in the “Handbook for Student Leadership Programs” published by the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs .
