Be Weather Aware: Winter Storm Warning Saturday – Monday in our area. Please monitor local weather and campus notifications for updates.
Hughes Auditorium has been a sacred gathering place at Asbury University since 1929, offering nearly a century of life-changing encounters with God. From weekly Chapel services to commencement ceremonies to historic revivals, Hughes has been the very heart of spiritual life on campus. In its well-worn seats, tens of thousands of students, faculty, staff, and guests have listened, prayed, wept, rejoiced and responded to the Spirit of God, leaving forever changed.
The 2026 Reunion Gift Project will focus on renewing the seats in Hughes Auditorium. To maintain the historic nature of Hughes, the metal frames will remain. Each wooden seat and seat back replacement will be carefully crafted by hand, reflecting the care and intention with which Hughes was first built. Our goal for this year’s Reunion is ambitious: raise the full amount needed to renew every seat in the auditorium.

Each seat tells a story of faith awakened, of calling discovered, and of lives shaped for service. A student’s story of belonging and becoming can begin with your gift, and your generosity today will ensure that when its centennial anniversary arrives in 2029, Hughes Auditorium is ready to welcome a new generation into the story God is writing at Asbury University.
We invite you to prayerfully support this project. While seats will not bear donor names, a gift of $500 represents sponsorship of one seat. Your donation of any amount can be made in honor or in memory of someone who has impacted your story—a professor, mentor, classmate, family member, or friend.
