Asbury Alum Coaches Men's Olympic Team
Asbury University alum Jack Hazen ’62, long-time cross country coach at Malone University in Ohio, is coaching the men’s distance runners on the U.S. Track & Field team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
While at the Games, Hazen will facilitate workouts and training plans for American runners and their private coaches in events ranging from 800 meters to the marathon. Readers can follow his daily posts from the Games on Twitter at: @jhazen_.
Hazen’s program at Malone, where he has coached for 45 years and counting, is the all-time winningest program in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. His previous international coaching experience includes the 1999 Junior Pan American Track & Field Team; World Championships in Boston and Cape Town, South Africa; and World Outdoor Championships in Finland.
