Position Summary

Asbury University’s T.W. Lewis Center for Student Success seeks motivated student interns to support grant-funded initiatives designed to strengthen student formation, vocational discernment, leadership development, career readiness, and successful transitions beyond graduation.

Student interns will gain meaningful professional experience while contributing to programs and services that support the university’s mission. Interns will develop transferable workplace skills through project management, event coordination, communication, research, marketing, relationship building, and student engagement activities within their assigned department.

Internship Commitment

• Academic year, 500 hours.
• Flexible scheduling based on academic requirements and departmental needs.
• Average commitment of approximately 15 hours per week.
• Continued appointment is contingent upon satisfactory performance and enrollment status.

Core Responsibilities for All Interns

• Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and integrity.
• Contribute to projects and programs that support grant objectives.
• Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of events and initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners.
• Complete assignments accurately and on time.
• Read the T.W. Lewis Solid Ground book and participate in a discussion group.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Support the mission and values of Asbury University and the T.W. Lewis Center for Student Success.

Required Qualifications

• Current Asbury University student in good standing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated reliability and professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
