POSITION:  The Management and Marketing Department, within the Dayton School of Business at Asbury University, invites applications and nominations for an open-rank, tenure-track position in Marketing & Sales who will also serve as Director of the Asbury University Center for Professional Selling (AUCPS) beginning August 2027.

As Director of AUCPS, the successful candidate will provide leadership for the Center, coach the nationally recognized Asbury Sales Team, develop corporate sponsorships and partnerships, mentor students, and support student recruitment.

DEPARTMENT:  The Dayton School of Business serves more than 225 undergraduate and graduate students across Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Sport Management, as well as MBA and Master of Science in Accounting programs.

DSB is committed to creating a highly engaged business education where faith, academic excellence, and the marketplace come together, connecting students with entrepreneurs, executives, organizations, and opportunities locally and globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach 24 credit hours in an academic year, as well as scholarship and research, academic advising, university service, accreditation support, and professional development. Teaching may include in-person, online, and hybrid courses.

ACADEMIC RANK:  Tenure track; Academic rank at the Assistant or Associate Professor level commensurate with experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Terminal degree in Marketing, Sales, or a closely related field preferred. ABD candidates with a clear plan for degree completion will be considered. Candidates with an MBA or related master’s degree, five or more years of significant professional experience, and progress toward or a plan to complete a doctorate may be considered for a three-year rolling appointment. Significant professional experience in B2B sales, sales management, marketing, or related fields is highly valued.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with the most appropriate academic credentials from an AACSB or ACBSP accredited institution, teaching experience, and professional and industry experience.

COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience.
