POSITION: Nursing Department – Tenure-Track Faculty (2 available)

Asbury University announces a 2 full-time tenure-track faculty positions in the Nursing Department to begin January 1, 2027 teaching in the BSN program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide high-quality instruction in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses in classroom, clinical, and simulation settings.
  2. Develop and implement innovative and evidence-based teaching strategies aligned with CCNE accreditation standards.
  3. Engage in academic advising and mentorship of students.
  4. Maintain active involvement in curriculum development, assessment, and program accreditation activities.
  5. Participate in scholarly activities, including research, grant writing, and professional development.
  6. Contribute to the governance and service responsibilities of the nursing program and university.
  7. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare partners to enhance clinical education opportunities.
  8. Uphold the values and mission of [University Name] by integrating Christian faith into teaching, service, and scholarship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  1. Doctoral degree in Nursing (Ph.D., DNP, or Ed.D.). Candidates currently pursuing a doctoral degree may be considered.
  2. Active, unencumbered RN license to practice in Kentucky.
  3. Minimum of two years of full-time nursing practice experience in adult health – Medical Surgical.
  4. Commitment to student-centered learning, academic excellence, and integrating faith into nursing education.

Preferred:

  1. Experience in curriculum development, CCNE accreditation processes, and simulation-based education.
  2. Record of scholarly activities such as research, publications, or grant writing.
  3. Previous teaching experience in nursing education, preferably in a baccalaureate or graduate nursing program.
