Job Title: Coordinator for Online Undergraduate Recruitment

Reports to: Director of Nontraditional Education

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Job Purpose:

The Coordinator for Online Undergraduate Recruitment serves as the online undergraduate admissions representative, responsible to recruit and enroll online students in accordance with the overall enrollment management goals and mission of Asbury University. An important part of the position is supporting the ministry and mission of the University and advancing the academic excellence and spiritual vitality of our University and students. Each employee plays an important role in the development of the Christian faith in our students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully reach and exceed established goals for activities, applications, admissions, and enrollees for the online undergraduate territory within the guidelines of Asbury University’s recruitment plan.
  • Establish and develop relationships with prospective students, providing advice and counsel concerning the educational opportunities at Asbury University through phone calls, electronic communication, correspondence, and/or personal visits.
  • Represent Asbury University when called upon for external events.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with KCTCS institution’s guidance and transfer personnel.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key influencers, external and internal, along with other University faculty and staff as needed.
  • Manage and review applicant files. Work with applicants to ensure submission of complete requirements. Make admission decisions consistent with the University’s admission standards.
  • Maintain overall leadership and responsibility for online undergraduate recruitment.
  • Support the Student Care Coordinator with assigned projects, especially in terms of retention and readmission.
  • Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned

Physical requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5

p.m. This position may require additional hours and/or weekend work.

Travel:

Very limited travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in admissions work.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and strict attention to details.
  • Must be able to present a positive and accurate representation of Asbury University’s programs and
  • A committed and dynamic Christian faith is vital along with the ability to support the University’s theological position, lifestyle standards and mission
