Job Purpose:
As a uniformed officer of the peace, under the Director of Campus Safety, works to promote a safe and secure campus environment for students, employees, and guests. An important part of the position is supporting the ministry and mission of the University and advancing the academic excellence and spiritual vitality of our University and students. Each employee plays an important role in the development of the Christian faith in our students.

This is a part-time position. Work hours will be two (2) regular shifts a week with the occasional need to fill-in no more than three (3) more shifts in a given week. Availability to work all shifts preferred. Must be available for the University’s Welcome Weekend and Commencement Weekend (dates determined by the academic calendar), unless given express permission from the Director of Campus Safety. No more than two consecutive weeks of non-medical leave will be granted at a time.

No travel is expected for this position.

Supervision Received:
Receives full instructions initially from the Director of Campus Safety or their designee.
On job training with training officer before working independently. Daily shift instructions provided as necessary.
