POSITION: Part-time (up to18-credit hours) Lecturer position in Social Work at Asbury University, August 2025-May 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate social work courses, both online and face to face. Teaching load will be either two or three 3-credit classes per semester, for a total of up to 18 credits across the fall and spring terms.
Additionally, candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues; be available to meet with and interact with students outside of class on an as needed basis; and participate in the life of the department, to include activities such as department meetings and special events which may be held outside of class time.
ACADEMIC RANK: Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK INFORMATION: The Department of Social Work includes 3 full-time faculty members and 60-70 social work majors in the face-to-face and online formats of the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree programs. The Social Work program is fully accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE).
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have an earned Master’s of Social Work from a CSWE accredited program. A commitment to academic excellence and spiritual vitality is necessary, with faculty innovation and creativity highly valued. Candidates must be in harmony and compliance with Faith, Mission, and Community Lifestyle Standards. Some teaching experience is highly preferred.
COMPENSATION: Compensation is competitive and dependent upon education and experience. No benefits included.
