Tim Campbell

The Office of the Academic Dean for Academic Affairs serves as the administrative dean for the University and is the primary person responsible for oversight of academic operations, including policies and procedures, faculty development, and academic support services. Dr. Campbell serves as the Provost’s primary representative in academic matters related to curriculum and the general health and welfare of all academic units. The Academic Dean directly oversees the following areas:

  • Faculty Development
  • Curriculum & Policy Development
  • SEARCH Scholarship Symposium
  • Registrar
  • Center for Academic Excellence
  • Global Engagement Office
  • Off-Campus Programs
  • New Student Advising

As Academic Dean, select responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversight of academic support programs for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students
  • Chair the university-wide Academic Policies and Curriculum Committee (APCC)
  • Works closely with the Provost on global articulation agreements and initiatives
  • Initiates and processes agreements with other institutions
  • Revise and publish annual Asbury University Bulletin
  • Advise Department Chairs, and Faculty regarding academic matters in consultation with Deans
