Sierra Bonham currently also works at Park United Methodist Church as their Children and Families Minister. She has previously worked at the nonprofit Nathaniel’s Mission as their Children and Youth Development Coordinator.

Sierra holds a B.A. in Urban and Cross-Cultural Ministry and Spanish language from Greenville University and an M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. As an undergraduate student, she had the opportunity to study abroad which first gave her the passion for other cultures, languages, and people. She went on to serve as a Summer Staff Intern for Students International at their Magdalena, Guatemala location. During her graduate studies, she worked at Nathaniel’s Mission working with children and their families from African American  and Hispanic/Latino descendant. This experience allowed her to bring people from all different backgrounds, cultures and ages together to live, and learn from each other.

Sierra holds her faith very close to her and her career. Through all of these experiences, she has learned more about God and his creation through each place she has seen, explored and lived. Each person has taught her more about God and the world.

These experiences have given her the ability and passion to work with students who also have a love for other cultures and their people or students that have a desire to learn and see a new culture. She loves to see the excitement that comes to students when they are able to learn and explore a new culture as well as seeing the transformation a new country and culture can have on a person.
