RESEARCH INTERESTS
Professor Lowry completed her MA in 1992 and doctoral course work and qualifying examinations in 2004 in the Hispanic Studies Program at the University of Kentucky. She researched the following dissertation topic: Patricio de la Escosura: ¿Imitador o dramaturgo ingenioso del XIX? (Historical dramas of Patricio de la Escosura, 19th century Spanish playwright). While her research interests lie prodominately in Foreign Language Pedagogy and 19th Century Literature, she also enjoys studying Drama, Romanticism, and Historicism in literature. Professor Lowry fulfills her main passion in teaching and working with students!
