POSITION: Part-time (18-credit) Lecturer position beginning July 2026 for Music Education at Asbury University.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, both online and face to face, affiliated with disciplines in music. Additionally, candidates will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues; have advisee assignments; be available to meet with and interact with students outside of class on an as needed basis; and participate in the life of the department, to include activities such as department meetings and special events which may be held outside of class time. Candidates will have voting privileges at departmental meetings but not at Faculty Assembly and will NOT have committee assignments. Candidates may also apply for scholarship and professional development funds.

DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC INFORMATION: The Department of Music has over 350 undergraduate students, majors and non-majors, participating in its programs. The Department of Music offers NASM-accredited bachelor’s degrees; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education, along with a Minor in Music. Our students engage in a rich community of ensembles, applied study, and academic rigor grounded in a Christian community in the Wesleyan Holiness tradition.
