The 2027–28 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open, and Asbury University encourages current students and prospective students and families, both on campus and online — to file as soon as possible.
The FAFSA helps determine eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial aid including grants, loans and other resources that can help make an Asbury education more affordable.
Completing the FAFSA is one of the most important steps students and families can take when planning how to pay for college. The FAFSA helps determine eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial aid, including grants, loans and other resources that can help make an Asbury education more affordable. Filing early is especially important because some forms of state aid are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. In Kentucky and some other states, available funding can be exhausted by the spring, so completing the FAFSA as soon as possible can help students maximize the financial aid available to them.
Filing early can also help speed up the process of receiving an accurate financial aid offer from Asbury for the upcoming academic year.
Paying for college is an important decision for every family, and I encourage you not to wait to file the FAFSA."
“Filing early gives your family more time to understand the financial aid available to you, consider your options and plan with confidence. We want you to know that you’re not navigating this alone and our Financial Aid team is here to answer your questions, walk with you through the process and help you explore every opportunity to make an Asbury education possible for your student.”
Students and families can complete the 2027–28 FAFSA at StudentAid.gov.
When completing the form, be sure to include Asbury University’s Federal School Code: 001952 so that Asbury can receive your FAFSA information and determine your financial aid eligibility.
Whether you are a current Eagle preparing for another year at Asbury or a prospective student considering joining the Asbury community, filing the FAFSA early can give you a clearer picture of your financial aid options and help you plan confidently for the year ahead.
Asbury University is committed to helping students and families understand their options and navigate the financial aid process. Students with questions about the FAFSA or financial aid at Asbury are encouraged to connect with Asbury University Admissions.
